My childhood was spent growing up on Long Island in New
York. I moved to Southern California to start High School in 1968. I graduated
from High School in Thousand Oaks, California, 1972 and attended college at
Valparaiso University, Indiana for two years. Then in 1974 I transferred the
University of California, San Diego where I met my future husband Bryan. I graduated in 1976 with a Major in
Biology/Biochemistry and a Minor in Psychology. I worked as a Neurology
Technologist and got married in 1977. We eventually moved to Texas where we
live to this day.
Most of my life I remember being involved in sports of one
form or another. I found my passion in sports to be gymnastics. I competed in
High School and College, and was a recreational gymnastics coach throughout
high school and college. I became a Gymnastics judge in1982 and currently hold
a National Rating. I served for eight years as the State Judging Director for
Women’s Gymnastics in Texas and was recently elected as Regional Judging
Director. Judging gymnastics keeps me very busy especially on the weekends!
So I have always been involved in one way or another with
Fitness but as time progressed I seemed to have less success with it.. I have
always done some sort of fitness program all my life but it seemed that no
matter how long I was on the elliptical cross trainer and weight machines
NOTHING was happening! I was getting frustrated. And Two years ago when
I stepped on the scale and realized that I weighed more than when I was 9 months
pregnant and what I was doing was NOT working.
I decided something had to change. To make a long story
short, I discovered Team BeachBody and a work out called Chalean Extreme. After
one week I was hooked. I was able to build muscle, lose weight and keep it off
with the help of this workout and my daily meal replacement shake called
Shakeology!
I had such great and long lasting results with these
products I became what is called “a product of the product”! People started
noticing that I was losing weight and toning up. I was so excited by my results
that after one month (!) I decided to become a Team BeachBody coach and share
my fitness story with others.
So I have made a transformation of sorts. I am now committed
to a healthy lifestyle, to exercise and good nutrition. I keep myself
accountable to my workouts and my nutrition plan. I schedule my workouts in
advance and stick to them! I drink Shakeology every day! I savor every day,
celebrate my family, and am thankful for my good health.
Decide, Commit, Succeed in Mind, Body, and Spirit!
